KFC unveiled a new Chicken Twister Wrap with classic and spicy slaw for $5 for two wraps or $7.99 for a combo with fries and a drink after many campaigns and fan requests.
KFC added Honey BBQ, Mac & Cheese, and Spicy Mac & Cheese wraps to start 2024. Honey BBQ is a tortilla wrap with "extra crispy chicken tender" pickles, mayonnaise, and the chain's unique barbecue sauce, which can be used to dip chicken strips or other products with sauce.
The Mac & Cheese wrap has "rich and gooey cheddar mac & cheese" with chicken tender and a three-cheese blend in a tortilla, while the spicy version has spicy mayo.
“Last year, KFC was the first to answer fans’ calls for the return of chicken wraps and is delivering yet again by bringing beloved KFC Wraps back with more flavors than ever before,” the chain stated.
Starting January 2, KFC outlets nationwide will offer the new flavors alongside the original and spicy slaw varieties. KFC hiked the price of their sandwiches, soft drink, and fries combo to $8.49 from $7.99 last February.
KFC is also giving away free wraps to app users who spend $1 or more to promote the new tastes. Customers can activate the deal once in January for an indeterminate time.
Given the chicken wrap's cult following, removing the old wrap flavors would risk more petitions and customer outcry, but the Honey BBQ and Mac & Cheese versions are LTOs meant to test demand for a limited time and decide whether to keep or scrap them.
Whilst food inflation is high and many are checking their finances after overspending on the holidays, KFC is selling the wraps and value menu as a cheap way to eat a full meal.
